Meet Seth

My Mission

After nearly two decades in marketing, I stood in front of a class of college students and saw the fear in their eyes about AI, layoffs, and an uncertain future. It reminded me that the polished, “thought leadership” content we see online rarely tells the whole story.

That’s why MarTech Seth exists. My goal is to share the messy middle—the real, vulnerable lessons about career, culture, and leadership that I wish someone had shared with me. After my own journey through burnout in 2020, I committed to having the honest conversations our industry needs.

The Professional Stuff

For 20 years, I’ve lived at the intersection of MarTech strategy and the complex, in-the-trenches execution required to make it work. As the founder of LifecycleIQ, I operate as a fractional consultant, helping innovative companies harness marketing technology to drive growth.

My approach is hands-on and data-driven. At Papa, my programs improved member activation by nearly 30%. At ExpertVoice, I reversed two years of channel decline to increase revenue by over 22% YoY. And at PenFed, my strategies contributed to a 40% growth in member acquisition. I believe technology should serve people, not the other way around.

Core Competenicies

The Personal Stuff & Giving Back

My personal experiences have deeply shaped my commitment to community and advocacy. As a marketing strategist and proud Air National Guard military spouse, I am dedicated to elevating underrepresented voices. This passion led me to serve on the Advisory Board for the Military Family Advisory Network (MFAN), where I help ensure the unique experiences of enlisted, Guard, and same-sex military families are part of the national conversation.

My belief in mentorship also brought me back to my roots. I currently serve on the Advisory Board for the Westminster University Honors College, the same program that was so foundational to my own journey.

When I’m not working, my husband Ken and I live in Salt Lake City with our dog, Jasper. You can find me hiking in the Wasatch Mountains, speaking at my local Toastmasters chapter, or mentoring emerging professionals. Ultimately, I believe in building community and leading with integrity—both in and out of the office.
